DAZZLING SKILL. CLASSIC ARTISTRY. AND ENGLAND'S FINEST CRYSTAL
Dudley's 1989 Crystal Festival is a celebration of a fine old English tradition that's as popular and successful today as it's ever been. The industry's leading manufacturers as well as small companies will be joining together between 25th August and 3rd September to provide a sparkling programme of displays and entertainment.

AT BROADFIELD HOUSE GLASS MUSEUM, KINGSWINFORD YARD OF ALE GLASS BLOWING CHALLENGE Monday 28th August. 10.30am Royal Brierley Crystal challenges title holder Osiris Glass Studio. Further glassmaking demonstrations in the afternoon. PRIVATE GLASS COLLECTIONS STUDENT GLASS EXHIBITION 25th August - 3rd September. 10am to 5pm. GLASS ENGRAVING DEMONSTRATIONS Tuesday 29th August. 10am to 5pm. CONNOISSEURS' EVENING Wednesday 30th August. 7pm to 10pm.
AT MARY STEVENS PARK, STOURBRIDGE
The ten day festival will culminate in a weekend extravaganza in Mary Stevens Park, Stourbridge. Entries from the Friggers' and Decorative Glassmaking Competitions will be on display. Bands playing in the park will include the Royal Doulton Brass Band.
ANTIQUE GLASS ROADSHOW Saturday 2nd September. 10.30am to 5pm. Bring your antique glass along for identification and valuation by our experts.
CHARITY CRYSTAL AUCTION Sunday 3rd September. 2.30pm. Come and bid for your favourite items of crystal and china.

Demonstrations, exhibitions and prestigious competitons will also be taking place at each of the Stourbridge glass factories.These include Royal Brierley, Stuart Crystal, Coloroll Edinburgh Crystal, Royal Doulton Crystal and Tudor Crystal.
CRYSTAL FESTIVAL CELEBRITY LECTURE Thursday 31st August.7.30pm. Mr Brian Moody is coming to the Bonded Warehouse, Stourbridge to give a talk on the Life of George Ravenscroft, the inventor of lead glass. GLASS AUCTION The Auction House, St. John's Road, Stourbridge. Thursday 31st August. 10.30am. Viewing on Wednesday 30th August from 10am. GLASS COLLECTORS FAIR Summerhill House Hotel. Saturday 2nd September. 10.30am to 5pm. Studio pieces will be on sale.
